Bart Kuebler has been playing piano since age five. Over the years he has performed a wide variety of music with an eclectic mix of ensembles including the Tokyo Symphony, the Virginia Symphony, the Gene Krupa Orchestra, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, the Benny Goodman Band and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Bart has also toured and performed with numerous Filipino artists in the U.S., including Pops Fernandez, Piolo Pascual, Ariel Rivera, and Carol Banawa. Bart also finds time to play in pit bands for regional productions and national tours of Broadway shows, and holds recording and production credits for a number of projects in both the U.S. and South Korea.
Bart is also a gentleman, in that he owns an accordion but chooses not to play it!

What equipment/instruments do you use?
"For The Music of Queen show, I've been experimenting with different rigs; I don't need the variety of sounds that I've used on other projects, so I'm trying to find a simple, consistent set-up. I think I've settled on a Macbook Pro running Logic Studio with Mainstage, using a Yamaha S90ES as a controller."
Who are some of your musical influences?
"As a young kid, I listened to a lot of Mozart and Bach; when I was about 9 or 10, I broke into my dad's record collection and listened to an Oscar Peterson record, and spent the next ten years listening to jazz and Van Halen. Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, U2- too many to name!"
Tell us about "The Music of Queen" show and how it impacts you:
"It's personally very fulfilling to play such great music in such a huge setting- one thing that's very true of Queen's music is that everyone loves at least one Queen song, and because each member of the band wrote in their own style, there's not a single 'Queen sound.' I love the musical range that we cover each night in the show!"
What's on your iPod?
"The Clash, Cheryl Bentene, Chicago, The Chieftains, Chris Botti, Coltrane, Coldplay- those are just some of the C's! I'm always cycling things on and off my iPod- I find myself going through phases. I just spent a solid month listening to John Adams!"
